The World Packaging Organization (WPO) recently held the 2008 WorldStar 2008 Packaging Design Awards in Cape Town, South Africa. A total of 23 packaging design works participated in the competition in China. After a fierce competition, a total of 8 works won prizes, ranking the highest in the number of awards.
The "Star of the World" competition has hundreds of entries from more than 20 countries and regions in the world. These works represent the highest level of packaging design in various countries. Chairman of the World Packaging Organization and the Secretary-General personally lead the team, lead the representatives of various countries to form a jury, strictly review and adopt a voting method. The judging panel of the contest started from “exquisite packaging design, use of new materials, elegant and elegant graphic design, commercial attributes, ease of use, safe use, good protection of interior contents, unique and innovative structural design, beneficial to environmental protection, saving materials, reducing costs, and packaging. Ten territories were designed to evaluate all the works one by one, and 134 works won the "World Star 2008" award.
All 23 works from my home country were selected and distributed by the China Export Commodity Packaging Research Institute and the Secretariat of the "World Star" Packaging Award Project Organizing Committee. At the end there were 8 outstanding works that were awarded "The World". Star" award. They are:

"F06 Mobile Box" (designer: Yu Guang);
"Tian Chengxiang" wine packaging (designer: Chengdu Fire Design Co., Ltd. Ren Libo);
"Large atmosphere modified atmosphere fresh-keeping retail packaging" (designer: Xin Cheng Jin Hao Meat Products Co., Ltd. Zhao Xiubiao);
"Electronic Scale Transport Protective Packaging" (Designer: Sealed Air Packaging (China) Co., Ltd., Lai Xiaoming, Chen Tianyou);
"Kouzijiao Collected Wine Packaging" (designer: Jia Guwen Creative Institution (China) Co., Ltd. Huang Yufeng, Chen Yongjie);
The "Tao Da Han Chun Qiu" tea ceremony commemorative equipment (designer: Chengdu Ze Hong Jiaxiu Advertising Co., Ltd. Lu Jiangchuan);
"Yangyao Caitaofang Wine Packaging" (designer: Henan Weifeng Advertising Design Planning Co., Ltd. Wang Weifeng Wang Junxue).
This time, our country’s selection and delivery works have paid attention to the diversity of packaging structure design and packaging products. Representatives from various countries participating in the “Star of the World†evaluation have fully affirmed our works, and many of our works are highly approved. Each year, we recommend outstanding works to the "Star of the World" competition through the domestic "Packaging Star" competition, and actively guide and promote the scientific and healthy development of packaging design in China. The "World Star 2008" awards conference will be held in May 2009 in Mexico. The China Export Commodities Packaging Institute will organize award-winning designers to participate in related activities in Mexico.
