Microwave foamed polystyrene

A new packaging material for LINPAC is the foamed polystyrene box for microwave ovens under the trade name "LINcool". The company has high hopes for the LINcool microwaved foam polystyrene packaging box and hopes to be widely used in the meat convenience food packaging market.

Tesco, a British food chain, uses LINcool microwaved foam polystyrene boxes in its cafeteria. The thermal insulation properties of the polystyrene foam packaging box are of the utmost importance. The good thermal insulation properties allow the consumer not to get burned when removing the box from the microwave oven. The maximum temperature that the human body feels too hot to touch is 55°C. The polypropylene packaging box or the crystalline polyester packaging box for microwave ovens reaches 80°C when the food is heated to 120°C. This is far more than the human body can tolerate. However, under the same conditions, the temperature of the expanded polystyrene packaging box was only 38°C, and at the same time, it maintained its hardness when heated and reduced the oil spill rate. However, at a temperature of 105°C, the hardness of the LINcool box is about 80% higher than that of the polypropylene box or the crystalline polyester box. At low temperatures, the thermal insulation performance of the expanded polystyrene packaging box is still outstanding. At an ambient temperature of -30°C, its thermal insulation performance is 70% higher than that of the polypropylene packaging box or the crystalline polyester packaging box. It is particularly important to point out that the LINcool polystyrene foam packaging box is much faster than similar products in the microwave oven and can significantly save energy, making it particularly suitable for restaurants that need to repeatedly heat large amounts of food every day.
