Section 3 General Principles of Design for Paper Packaging Structure Paper packaging is significantly different from other rigid packaging containers in terms of raw materials and molding methods, so there are many distinctive features in the structure. Therefore, the paper packaging structure design method is different from other rigid packaging containers.

General principles of paper packaging structure apply to folding cartons, paste cartons and corrugated boxes.

In fold indentation lines, inward fold, outward fold and double fold. After the paper box (box) is folded and formed, the bottom layer of the paperboard is the two sides of the inner corner of the box (box), and the surface layer is the two sides of the outer corner of the box (box), which is the inner fold; otherwise, it is the outer fold. After the cardboard is folded at 180°, the 180° folding line, also known as the fold line, is represented by double dashed lines.
The cut line, that is, indentation and cutting alternate. According to the process requirements, the lengths of the intermittent cuts and indentations shall be marked, and the cut length/indentation length shall be used.

The corrugation is the corrugation axial direction, that is, the corrugated cardboard which is perpendicular to the machine direction of the corrugated cardboard. The cardboard orientation or corrugation symbol is denoted by ? or b.
In general, the orientation of the paperboard should be perpendicular to the main indentation line of the carton. The main indentation line is the set of indentation lines that are the longest, the widest, and the highest in the carton.

2, the design size 1 inside size (Xi): refers to the paper packaging volume size. A right-angled hexahedron paper packaging container, represented by Li×Bi×Hi.
2 Outer size (X0): Outer size refers to the size of the paper package. A right-angled hexahedron paper packaging container is represented by L0×B0×H0.
3 Manufacturing dimensions (X): Manufacturing dimensions refer to the production dimensions, ie the dimensions marked on the structural design drawings. It cannot be represented by L×B×H.

3, the main dimensions of paper packaging

1 Length dimension: The long side dimension of the bottom area of ​​the paper packaging container.
2 Width dimension: The short side dimension of the bottom area of ​​the paper packaging container.
