Basic troubleshooting methods for high and low temperature test chambers:
1. High and low temperature test equipment. During a high-temperature test, if the temperature fails to reach the required test value, start by checking the electrical system and systematically eliminate any faults. If the temperature rises slowly, inspect the air circulation system to ensure that the airflow control damper is operating correctly. If not, check the motor responsible for the airflow circulation. If the temperature becomes too high, adjust the PID settings accordingly. In cases where the temperature rises rapidly and triggers an over-temperature protection, it may indicate a faulty controller, which should be replaced promptly.
2. When the high and low temperature test equipment suddenly malfunctions during operation, the control panel will display a corresponding error message along with an audible alarm. Operators can refer to the fault diagnosis section in the equipment manual to identify the issue and then contact a professional technician for quick resolution. Different environmental testing devices may present unique issues, so each case should be analyzed individually. Regular maintenance is essential for all environmental test equipment. This includes cleaning the condenser of the refrigeration system, lubricating moving parts as specified, and regularly inspecting the electrical control system. These steps are crucial to ensure the long-term performance and reliability of the equipment.
3. If the low-temperature test chamber fails to reach the desired test temperature, observe the temperature behavior. If the temperature rises very slowly or begins to increase after reaching a certain point, first check whether the test chamber was properly dried before the test. Ensure that the chamber is completely dry and that the test samples are not overcrowded, as this can hinder proper air circulation. If the issue persists, it may indicate a problem with the refrigeration system, requiring assistance from a qualified technician. In the second case, where the temperature increases unexpectedly, it might be due to improper placement of the equipment. Check that the ambient temperature and the space around the unit (especially the distance between the back of the cabinet and the wall) meet the manufacturer's specifications.
4. During a damp heat test in a high and low temperature chamber, if the actual humidity reaches 100% or differs significantly from the target humidity, investigate the cause. If the humidity reaches 100%, it could be due to the drying of the gauze on the wet bulb sensor. Check the water level in the wet bulb sensor’s water tank, which is usually controlled automatically by a water level controller. Ensure the water supply system is functioning correctly and that the water level controller is working as intended. Another possibility is that the gauze has become hardened due to prolonged use or poor water quality, preventing it from absorbing moisture. Cleaning or replacing the gauze should resolve the issue. If the humidity is much lower than expected, the humidification system may not be functioning properly. Check the water supply for the humidifier, the water level control in the humidifier boiler, and the overall condition of the humidification system. If these are all normal, the problem may lie in the electrical control system, which should be inspected and repaired by a professional technician.
