According to reports, in 2006 the penetration rate of CTP in the United States reached about 75%, 70% in Europe, and 50% in Japan. China's CTP penetration rate is low, operating efficiency is low, and the application area is narrow. Large demand gap in the next five years

According to speculation by relevant experts, China ’s CTP penetration rate will reach 70% after 5 years. When CTP is fully developed in China, what percentage of each type of CTP will occupy, which technology will become the leader? As of September this year, the CTP equipment of the three mainstream technology types of thermal, photosensitive, and PS plate-making directly accounted for 63.59%, 28.30%, and 6.35% of the total holdings, respectively. From these data, thermal CTP occupies the top of the list, photosensitive CTP also has a large market advantage, and the market share of the PS version of the direct plate is not enough to have a great influence.

Thermal and photosensitive technologies have developed and matured, while the PS plate-making technology has become a "dark horse" in the CTP arena, opening up more opportunities for CTP applications. Plate prices become a bottleneck restricting development

Faced with the technical disputes between these three, Xiang Jianlong's personal view is that the CTP directly made by the PS version is the real CTP, because the original intention of the CTP concept is to transition from CTF to CTP and cancel the film.

The promotion of PS plate-making directly is mainly restricted by the three major problems of equipment cost, plate-making speed and plate-making quality. Xiang Jianlong believes that with the rapid promotion of purple laser technology in the civilian field and solving the light source problem, the speed of plate making and the quality of plate making have been greatly improved, and it has reached the standard of ordinary CTP; For small and medium-sized enterprises that operate printing presses, 40,000 sheets per year are used as the standard.
