The Virtual Reality Research Institute and Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute of the Cloud Computing Industry Technology Innovation and Cultivation Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was unveiled on August 8 in Songshan Lake, Dongguan, Guangdong. It is reported that the Virtual Reality Research Institute will start from three aspects of R&D, hardware and application, and set up a public R&D platform and a high-end talent team to allow more and better projects to be implemented and transformed. The Cloud Computing Industry Technology Innovation and Breeding Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is a large-scale cooperative institution jointly established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Dongguan Municipal Government. Ji Tongkai, director of the center, said that the Virtual Reality Research Institute and the Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute are high-tech public services and industrial breeding platforms built on the foundation of the nine sub-centers and research institutes that have been established.
