Based in the Czech Republic, Michal has been making waves by bringing art into the public sphere, transforming everyday spaces into vibrant canvases for creative expression.
Born in 1982, Michal believes that art should be accessible and integrated into the rhythm of daily life. His sculptures are not confined to galleries but are instead placed in public areas where people live, work, and interact. This philosophy allows his work to spark conversations and create a meaningful connection between the viewer and the environment.
In his artistic practice, Michal explores themes relevant to modern society and the physical space around us. He sees sculpture as a pivotal point within an environment. While galleries offer a controlled setting, public spaces challenge artists to think deeply about scale, placement, and interaction. This complexity, he believes, makes public art more engaging and powerful.

Since 2007, Michal has been curating the "ART In the City" exhibition in Ceske Budejovice, showcasing sculptures in public spaces during the summer months. He also co-founded "Sculpture Line," a contemporary sculpture exhibition in Prague since 2015. His works can be found in both public spaces and private collections across Europe, America, and Russia.
Beyond creating art, Michal travels extensively to remote and natural landscapes like Alaska, Kamchatka, and the Himalayas, seeking inspiration from nature itself. He believes that being close to the earth and its raw beauty helps him connect more deeply with his creative process.
