This device uses ultrasound, which refers to sound waves with frequencies above 20,000 Hz. As these waves propagate through a medium, they cause intense molecular friction and heat dissipation, leading to various primary and secondary ultrasonic effects such as thermal effects, chemical effects, and cavitation effects. The cavitation effect of the ultrasonic wave can significantly enhance the activity of the reaction system, generating instantaneous high temperatures and pressures sufficient to initiate chemical reactions. This creates a local high-energy center that promotes the smooth progress of the reaction, making it a crucial factor in ultrasonic catalytic reactions.
