The Xinzhuang (LNB) brand aseptic homogenizer from Shanghai Xinzhuang Instrument Co., Ltd. simplifies the process of extracting bacteria from solid samples. All you need to do is add the sample and diluent into a sterile bag, then place the bag into the slap-type homogenizer. This device effectively separates microorganisms from the solid sample, ensuring thorough mixing within the sterile bag. The resulting solution can be directly analyzed without the risk of contamination or sample alteration.
The aseptic homogenizer is widely used in various fields, including food microbial analysis, homogenization of animal tissues, biological samples, and cosmetics, as well as in the processing of meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, and biscuits. It is also commonly used for microbial testing in pharmaceutical products.
Here's how to operate the aseptic homogenizer:
1. Connect the power cable to the socket at the back of the homogenizer and plug it into an external power source. Turn on the power switch. The LCD display will show the factory settings, and the homogenizer will automatically enter standby mode.
2. Check the groove along the lower edge of the door. If it’s locked onto the crossbar at the bottom, turn the handle to open the door fully. Place the sample and diluent-filled bag inside the homogenizing chamber. Ensure the bottom edge of the bag doesn’t go below the hammering plate and that the mouth of the bag is exposed. Close the door and listen for a “click†sound, which indicates the door is securely closed. At this point, the door and upper rail will clamp the bag to keep it sealed.
3. With your left hand holding the top of the bag, open the door with your right hand and remove the bag after the process is complete. If there is any contamination, use a special tool to extract the bag safely.
4. Select the desired speed and time setting using the control panel. Each button press will produce a beep sound. Press the “Settings†button to access the configuration menu. The LCD screen will flash between M1 and the number of taps, indicating the setup mode. Adjust the parameters by pressing the up or down buttons. Holding the button for one second or longer will allow continuous adjustment. To exit the settings, press the “Reset†button. Once the settings are complete, press the “Continuous/Cycle†button to choose the required operation mode. Finally, press the on/off button to start the homogenizer.
