Saddle stitching process (2)

Second, riding a book binding motive

1. PDQ-2 triple riding saddle stitching. This machine is a triple-type saddle stitching linkage production line produced by the Shanghai Staples Machinery Plant. It is a multi-process interlocking binding device consisting of 8 page-laying units, stapler units, and three-side cutters. The production line has a wide range of uses and high efficiency, and is suitable for large and medium-sized printing companies to bind large quantities of periodicals, magazines, and painting services.

The working process of the triple-type production line is shown in Figure 5-13. The signatures of the folded pages are automatically placed on the collection chain by the page-laying unit. In the process of sending the collection chain, each signature is blocked by the rules and the signature is sent to the stapler head. Next, the book of the stapler is sent to the three-sided cutter, and the printed book is sent to the receiving book after optical counting and the book binding process is completed.

The production has a high degree of automation. All the binding processes are carried out continuously and automatically, and a control system is installed, which mainly includes various control devices such as signature detection, overload parking, skew parking, book rejection, and book counting. Binding quality. The signature detection device is used to check the quality of the collation. When there is a missing or multiple post, the detection device sends a signal to make the head stop for this booklet, and the waste output device will It is sent to the waste book bucket. If the output is skewed or overloaded, it stops automatically. The book counter is installed at the exit of the three sides of the book cutter to control the two book desks to receive the books according to the required number of rotations, which are stacked by the operator. The machine has good binding quality, high efficiency and easy operation.

2.235-5 type wire saddle stitching linkage production line. The production line is a saddle-stitching production line produced by the Martini company in Switzerland. The machine is mainly used for binding journals, magazines and pamphlets with a thickness of 6 mm or less. It is composed of a cover (splitting), a saddle stitching, and a three-side cutting mechanism, and is equipped with a quality inspection control, scrappage rejection, finished product stack counting, and safety devices. The biggest feature of the machine is the use of building block combinations, which can be based on different conditions, plus a stacking machine, packaging machine, inserter, etc. to form a variety of new types of binding linkage lines based on the above composition, to adapt to the user's various need. Figure 5-14 shows several combinations of the 235-5 horse-riding linkage motives.

The main technical specifications of the saddle stitching production line are shown in Table 5-2.
