Mountain Hardwear's story:


One morning in early May of 1999, the Sherpa Babu Chiri took his proposal, which was only planned for four days, to the Mountain Hardwear company in California, USA. Although Babu's body is small, he often smiles and believes he can fulfill his dream of spending one night on Mount Everest. What he needs is just Mountain Hardwear to provide him with a tent.


Babu had visited other professional outdoor products companies before, but only Mountain Hardwear seriously considered his proposal. Although no explorer had ever tried before and even thought of staying at the top of the earth for a night, Babu’s enthusiasm and full confidence prompted MountainZardwear's chief designer Martin Zemitis to believe that if anyone dreams of such a feat, we can at least help. It is for him to prepare a shelter that can withstand the polar weather.


When all the details were set, Martin had only three days left to build the tent. On Friday morning, he came to Babu with a tired body and a tent that had been made. Babu took it and bid farewell to Martin and set off immediately to Nepal.


Babu eventually reached the summit and stayed at the top for 21 hours. In the second year, he set a new record and only reached the summit with 16 hours and 56 minutes. This record was not broken until 2003. For many years, mountaineers and MountainHardwear have conquered the peaks and won the sympathy and return. Early years


In 1993, Jack Gilbert was the chairman of another outdoor equipment brand, Sierra Designs, and Sierra Designs was at a time when it was hot. JackGilbert was worried that the new shareholders would split him up with a group of good comrades. He then tried to buy the company with eight of his colleagues, but after repeated attempts he failed to succeed. Fortunately, the good news finally came on Halloween and investors gave them the opportunity to start a new company. So Jack took this opportunity to realize his dream and found Mountain Hardwear. However, they only had 90 days to prepare for the winter outdoor activities show.

1994-1995


MountainHardwear has developed 17 products in the first three months, including the famous ExposureParka and SubZeroJacket. Due to the quality of products and good reputation, their improved versions are still on the production line. Ed arrived at Mountain Hardwear Corporation from Seattle in May. After discussing with the designer for a week, he climbed Mount Everest with Mountain Hardwear equipment and then climbed to ChoOyu in September. In two years, MountainHardwear has been transformed from a small California company into an outdoor product brand that can be based on the world's best.


Mountainlink


MountainHardwear also has a rare opportunity to cooperate with RobertLink. With rich experience, Robert pointed out sharply the advantages and disadvantages of MountainHardwear in terms of product and design.
