The results showed that 138 batches were qualified, and the batch pass rate was 68.3%. Excluding 12 batches that only failed to identify, the intrinsic quality pass rate was 74.3%. How to ensure the safe use of children's furniture has become the focus of attention.
Serious metal pollution problem
The spot check found that children's wooden cabinets had the lowest pass rate of only 59.5%. The total amount of formaldehyde released from the three batches of products exceeded the standard requirements, and two batches of products exceeded the standard. The heavy metals in furniture mainly include lead, cadmium, chromium, etc., which are harmful to the human body, especially children and adolescents. The 301 model children's bedside table produced by a certain furniture company in Shenzhen has a measured value of 3560 mg/kg of soluble lead, which is nearly 40 times higher than the standard requirement. The measured value of soluble chromium is 772 mg/kg, which is nearly 13 times higher than the standard requirement.
The brighter the color of the furniture, the more lead in the paint.
At present, 90% of children's furniture is made of medium-density board, particle board and other plates. Only a small amount of children's furniture is made of pine wood and other laminated materials, which often leads to excessive levels of harmful gases in children's rooms. At present, most of the children's furniture on the market only indicates the content of formaldehyde, but there is almost no detection number for benzene and heavy metals. Some test reports only contain the hazardous content of the board, not the harmful substances such as paint. Once put into the children's room, this kind of furniture will affect the health of the child. It is understood that among the various furniture, brightly colored lead paint accounts for a large share. Tests have shown that among the 23 samples containing lead paint, the orange paint has the highest lead content, followed by yellow, green and brown.
Children are the future of a family, the builders of the future of the motherland, but they have been victimized by "problem" furniture since childhood, and the future is really worrying. Merchants should consciously regulate their behavior, not to name "children", and in turn violate the interests of children.
