Although the campus access layer has lower reliability requirements for network equipment than the upper two layers, the internal situation of the campus network is different, and there are many ways to interconnect with the upper layer network, resulting in the most complicated part of the metropolitan area network design. For schools with relatively mature infrastructure and a large number of students, DCRS-7500 series routing switches can be used as the backbone equipment, and other schools can use DCRS-6512 or DCRS-5526 according to their own circumstances. For schools that are more constrained by economic conditions and have less demand for network information, consider using a "blue box" (DCR-2708 / 16) that integrates routers and switches to eliminate special switching equipment. When connecting to the convergence backbone layer, we must fully consider the needs of local teaching and the business services that operators can provide. In direct fiber connection, 10 / 100M broadband network, DDN dedicated line, ADSL and dial-up network suitable for remote schools, etc. Choose among the mainstream methods, and connect the education committees at all levels and schools in all jurisdictions into a private dedicated education network through VLAN technology, VPN technology, point-to-point method, and dial-up remote access method.
