1) Depth of field

Since the imaging principle of photoelectric coupling (CCD) is similar to that of a camera, if the depth of field is to be increased, the lens is enlarged accordingly, so that the volume of the rainbow scanner is too large to be used. The excellent Avision scanner should be able to scan and read without the need to stick to the barcode label, and it is medium in size and convenient to operate.

2) Resolution

If you want to increase the resolution of the iris scanner, you must increase the unit pixel of the imaging system's light sensor. The low-cost rainbow scanner is generally 500 pixels. It is enough to read EAN, UPC and other commercial barcodes. It will be difficult to read other barcode systems. The mid-range rainbow scanner is more than 1024 pixels, and some even reach 2048 pixels, which can distinguish the narrowest unit element with a 0.1mm barcode.

Second, the hand-held laser scanner is a single-line bar code scanner that uses a laser diode as a light source. Its main classification is two types: a mirror type and a speculum type.

1) The mirror-type laser scanner uses a high-speed motor to drive a prism group to rotate, so that the single-point laser emitted by the diode becomes a scan line.

2) The production cost of the vibrating mirror laser scanner is lower than that of the mirror type, but the laser scanner of this principle is not easy to increase the scanning speed, generally 33 times/second. Some models can reach 100 times / sec.

3. An omnidirectional laser scanner is a bar code scanner that refracts laser light emitted by a laser diode into a plurality of scanning lines through an optical system. Its main purpose is to reduce the work of the scanner to align the bar code when reading the bar code information, thereby improving the work efficiency. The selection should focus on the distribution of the spot on the scanning line of the scanner:

1) There are multiple parallel scan lines in one direction;

2) There are multiple scan lines passing at a certain point;

3) The scanning probability of each point tends to be consistent within a certain spatial range.
