Since the offset fountain solution contains surface active substances, interfacial active substances, wetting agents, and various components such as phosphoric acid and citric acid, the blanket must have stable chemical properties in order not to be compatible with ink and offset fountain solutions. Chemical reactions occur, especially the corrosion of acid-resistant substances.

The quality of the blanket depends mainly on the materials used and their structure, ie, the surface of the blanket, the type of elastic layer and the fabric, and the structure of the fibers. These two factors determine the elasticity, extensibility, durability, printability, and stress on the surface of the blanket.

To ensure the quality of offset printing products, blankets that meet the following requirements must be used.

1. Wetting of Offset Blanket: It is possible to maximize the absorption and transfer of ink, while minimizing the adsorption of moisture, but also has good oil resistance and a certain degree of acid resistance.

2, can adapt to changes in the wet performance of the East. Since the rubber clothing needs to contact with water, ink, paper, etc. in high speed, continuous, and long-lasting contact during the offset printing process, and the surface is adsorbed on the above substances, a film layer state may be formed, thereby changing its wetting properties. A good quality blanket can minimize the weakness of lipophilic ink transfer and increase the hydrophilicity.

3, slow down the aging of the blanket. The use of blankets inevitably produces aging phenomena, mainly photo-aging, resulting in reduced blanket transfer ink performance; thermal aging, so that the surface of the blanket becomes soft, sticky, and even cracks. Offset blankets are air-cushioned blankets and ordinary blankets. During the imprinting process, the ordinary blanket is difficult to shrink due to its volume, and can only be pressed in the direction of force after the force is applied, so that the rubber layer on the surface of the blanket appears a convex convex bulge in front of the imprinting line. In the case of high-speed printing presses, such convex hulls cannot be leveled down in time to restore the surface of the eraser market. As a result, dot defects such as distortion of the dots, ghosting of printed images, poor reproducibility of high-tone reproduction, and the like are often caused. . The air-cushion blanket effectively avoids this defect.

Difference between air-cushion blanket and normal standard cloth

1. The main difference between the air-cushion rubber market and the ordinary rubber market is that the internal structure is different. They are composed of different fabric layers and rubber layers. An inflatable layer is also sandwiched between the air-cushion blankets to form an elastic layer.

Inflatable layers usually have two kinds of microbubbles and gas troughs. There is a solid carrier layer between the surface layer and the gas-filled layer of the blanket to strengthen the adhesion between the upper and lower layers.

The air-cushioned rubber market has good elasticity compared to ordinary solid rubber blankets. In general, the better the elasticity of the blanket, the better the effects of graphic and text transfer and the ink-absorbing performance.

4, fast peeling paper performance is good, but also the characteristics of air-cushion blanket. This advantage is particularly prominent when the air-cushion blanket prints thin (65-80 g/m2) coated paper.

5, air cushion blanket expansion rate is small, high flatness. Air cushion rubber error: 0.02 ~ 0.03, ordinary blanket error: 0.05mm. Because the air-cushion blanket has a low expansion rate, a compact structure, and good mechanical strength, which is beneficial to the increase of tensile strength, it can reduce the amount of deformation of graphic transfer and provide a reliable guarantee for improving and stabilizing the quality of printed products.

6, air cushion rubber long service life. If a general solid rubber blanket prints magazines and magazines for 8 hours a day, it can generally take 3 to 4 months, and Tianjin's air-cushioned blankets can use the first half of the year. As long as there are no metal tools and debris scratching the rubber market or tattered paper crushed by the blanket, the traces produced by the air-cushion blanket print are less. At the same time it also has the advantages of oil resistance, wear resistance, heat resistance, anti-aging and so on.

7. The air-cushion rubber blanket has good ink-absorbing performance and ink-transmitting performance to ensure that the ink is well-proportioned in the printing process, the writing is clear, the product outlets are smooth, and the expansion rate is small. The change in the size of the printing paper makes it difficult to press out the traces of the paper. When the two-sheet shreds are rolled, the elasticity can be quickly restored, and the impact of the printing can be eased.
