1, CTP machine surface maintenance

The outer surface of the cleaning output device protects the appearance and surface finish to ensure that visual indications and markings are clearly visible. What's more, regular cleaning reduces dust that can fall into the device when you remove or open the access panel. The areas that are most prone to dust accumulation are the fan box panel, the power box panel, the front and top panels, and the area where the plates enter and exit the output device. Reliable, high-quality output requires that the outer surface of the output device be kept clean.

Cleaning It is recommended to vacuum-clean all access panel seams before cleaning the outer surface of the output device to remove any accumulated dust. If the surface is often wiped clean with a dry cloth and the environment is relatively dry without steam, it may be sufficient if this is done. For more thorough cleaning, use a cloth moistened with water and a mild detergent. Wipe all remaining detergent thoroughly with a clean, damp cloth. (Warning: Do not allow water or other liquids to flow freely into the output device. This may result in electric shock, serious injury, and damage to the output device.)

2, CTP machine internal maintenance

Clean edge detection strip

To position the image to the edge of the plate, the output device uses an edge detection algorithm. The algorithm relies on a 741 mm (29.2 in) black non-reflective test strip placed on the surface of the imaging drum inside the output device, which is located on the surface of the imaging drum inside the output device next to the front-edge clamp. Edge detection strips must be cleaned every month to avoid edge detection errors.

To clean the edge detection strip:

1. Make sure the output device is not currently working.

2. Turn off the output device.

3. Open the front door.

4. Turn the imaging drum by hand until you see the edge detection bar.

Note: Do not catch the right end surface of the imaging drum. This may damage the optical encoder in the imaging drum.

5. Wet a piece of cotton-free cloth with distilled water (suitable for precise operation) and wipe the test strip in one direction only.

(Be careful not to leave any fingerprints or smudges on the test strip. Wipe it with a clean dry cloth after wiping.)

Clean the plate roller:

1. Make sure the output device is not currently working.

2. Turn off the output device.

3. Open the front door.

4. Gently wipe the plate roller (bright blue) by gently wiping the other hand with a damp, lint-free cloth (suitable for delicate operations). (Be careful not to leave any fingerprints or smudges on the test strip. Wipe it with a clean dry cloth after wiping.)

Cleaning the imaging drum

To clean the imaging drum

1. Make sure the output device is not currently imaging the plate.

2. Turn off the output device.

3. Open the front door.

4. Gently wipe the other drum gently with a damp, lint-free cloth (for delicate operations).

(Be careful not to leave any fingerprints or smudges on the test strip. Wipe it with a clean dry cloth after wiping.)

Keep the surface of the plate cleaner clean and perform a surface maintenance on the surface of the machine one day.

Second, pre-publication \ layout inspection

Pre-publication check

Open all the machines to work first and make sure that the machines are in normal condition.

With a waste version of the two or three times the plate machine, the plate developer concentration reaches the set value, to ensure the normal operation of the plate processor.

If two kinds of plates are to be published together, be sure to publish them first. (If the machine has a problem, the smaller version costs less)

Make sure that the temperature and temperature of the CTP studio meet the requirements of the machine's work. (Air conditioner must be on when the server is on)

Layout check

A version comes out, first look at the layout there are no dirty spots, white spots, scratches, the layout is clean.

For blue paper, (with digital samples) ensure that the layout is consistent with the sample.

If you encounter a layout that is different from blue paper, you should immediately stop publishing and view the original document.

Since the company's plate has bottom ash, if you are not sure whether the layout is clean, use the eraser pen to eliminate it at the edge of the plate and wipe it to see if the plate is clean. (If the layout is not clean, stop publishing immediately)

Whether the layout overprint lines and corner lines are complete, and if any are missing, prompt remedial measures should be taken.

Third, the problem is summarized

Since May, the problems encountered have been as follows:

First, the layout is not clean

Cause: The CTP exposure energy is not enough. The visual effect of the bottom ash on the layout may not be visible if it is not carefully observed (there are no dots with the enlarger).

To avoid the recurrence of this situation: use the eraser pen to eliminate it at the edge of the print, there will be a very clear contrast after wiping.

Treatment: Increase CTP exposure energy.

Similar problem processing: The layout is not clean, caused by a variety of problems, the following are summarized below:

1, plate speed:

In the case of CTP energy standards, the version has a blue background. Adjustable wiper speed.

2, the development temperature

In the case of CTP energy standards, the version has a blue background. Raise the development temperature if the speed cannot be adjusted. (If the temperature is increased, it will dilute the dots, can create fast speed)

3, pressing machine stick pressure

This method is rarely used. In the case that the above 1-2 is invalid, the pressure of the felt can be properly adjusted. (Note: Wool bars are detrimental in the case of the brush plate. The loss and shortening of the wool will affect the effect of the plate.)

Second, the PS version of the picture pixel is not enough

Reason: Document processing issue, publication was not found.

Processing: File reprocessing

To avoid the recurrence of this situation: At the time of publication, the same copy can be printed with a copy of the sample draft (a copy must be carefully written). After proofreading, no problem can be published. If you have any questions, you need to report to the supervisor in time and change the documents.

Third, the machine has a dirty point

Reason: The version is flushed with dirty spots (supplemented fluid cannot be pumped on)

Remedy: Check if the stick is dirty and wipe clean. In the plate processor operation supplementary development, direct pumping some of the development to add or let go of some of the old developer to add some new developer. (If the development is too long, consider replacing the developer, changing the mind, cleaning the machine)

To avoid the recurrence of this situation: Before each publication, you must first use the waste version several times. Check if the rehydration solution is pumped on. Use a damp sponge to wipe the glue stick.
