Precautions and control points of pre-coating film coating process

Precautions for pre-coating film coating process operation:

(1) The thickness of the BOPP film used for coating should generally be between 0.01 and 0.02 mm, the transparency should be above 90%, and the heat shrinkage rate should be small.

(2) Before starting the machine, you should check whether the BOPP film is within the shelf life, whether the adhesive layer on the film is uniform, and whether the surface is scratched or crushed. The rubberized side of the film should pass through the heated cylinder and face the printed matter.

(3) The rubber roller and the heating roller must be kept clean, and the pressure balance rollers on both sides must rotate flexibly.

(4) Adjust and determine the gap of the feed roller according to the paper thickness.

(5) Select BOPP films of different widths according to the product size, and adjust the side gauge according to the requirements of the product.

(6) Adjust the film guide roller so that the tension on both sides of the film is uniform, and the surface of the film is flat without wrinkles.

The main points of the pre-coating film process control:

The key technologies of the pre-coating film coating process are mainly the control of the film temperature, film pressure and film speed.

1. Film temperature

Temperature is the primary factor of pre-coating film, because the adhesive on the pre-coating film is hot-melt adhesive, the temperature determines the melting state of hot-melt adhesive, and determines the hot melt adhesive molecules to BOPP film, printed ink layer, paper, etc. Penetration and diffusion capacity. Although the increase of the coating temperature helps to enhance the bonding strength, too high temperature will cause the film to shrink, the product surface will shine, blisters, and the product will wrinkle. According to practical experience, the temperature of the film should be controlled between 70 ~ 100 ℃.

2. Lamination pressure

The surface of the paper is not smooth. Only under the appropriate pressure can the hot-melt adhesive in the molten state completely cover the surface of the printed product, and the film-coated product is bright and the bonding effect is good. The pressure is small, and the bonding is not strong; the pressure is higher, which helps to improve the bonding force between the film and the paper product. However, if the pressure is too high, it is easy to wrinkle the product, and it is easy to damage the surface of the rubber roller. Deformation reduces the service life of the rubber roller. As the pressure increases, the contact pressure between the rubber roller and the heating roller increases, which increases the load on the shaft head and bearing of the two rollers, which increases the wear, and at the same time increases the load on the transmission system. Service life.

In actual production, the pressure should be adjusted according to the paper. For example, for loose paper, the pressure is greater, and vice versa. According to experience, the film pressure is generally set at 8-25MPa.

3. Laminating speed

The speed of the laminating speed determines the melting time of the adhesive on the pre-coated film on the heating roller and the contact time of the film and paper. The lamination speed is slow, the heating time of the adhesive on the BOPP film is relatively long, the pressing time of the film and paper is long, the bonding effect is good, but the production efficiency is low. The lamination speed is fast, the adhesive on the BOPP film is heated on the heating roller for a short time, the contact time between the film and the paper is short, and the bonding effect is poor. The production speed of domestic pre-coated film laminating equipment is generally controlled between 5-30m / min.

The above has made a simple analysis of the three key process technologies in the pre-coating film coating-the coating temperature, the coating pressure and the coating speed, but the adjustment coordination between the three should be based on the different equipment used and the coating The actual situation of different product types and different types of films used can be flexibly grasped. Only in this way can high-quality coated products be obtained.

4. Lamination parameter control of special printed materials

Special printed matter refers to the large printing area. Printed matter with thick ink layer, deep color, large paper moisture content and large paper size. When laminating such prints, the lamination parameter control is generally as follows.

Film temperature: 95 ~ 5 ℃;

Film pressure: 16-25Mpa;

Laminating speed: 5-10m / min.
