[Single-chip electrical control comprehensive experimental teaching platform]

Function, role introduction

In the reform of the related courses of MCU, the basic concepts of open, design and engineering experimental teaching are put forward. There is currently no suitable experimental teaching device on the market that can be adapted to these teaching concepts. To this end, we have specially developed and developed a unique experimental teaching platform, and repeatedly tried and improved the batch equipment laboratory.

The experimental teaching practice proves that the experimental teaching platform satisfies the needs of experimental teaching reform, and the good result is the experimental teaching effect.

1. Basic experimental teaching concept

1) Openness

Realize the "three open" of experimental teaching: the experimental content is open (the experimental principle and program are selected by the students), the experimental time is open (combination between class and class), and the experimental site is open (some experimental content students can complete in the dormitory);

2) Comprehensive design

The realization of the "two integration" of experimental teaching: the comprehensive application of different curriculum knowledge, the comprehensive application of software and hardware, to create conditions for the development of comprehensive design experiments;

3) Engineering

For engineering design, focus on the cultivation of innovative ability: the experimental object is derived from engineering practice, students can improve their innovation ability through various comprehensive designs.

2, structure and function

Based on the above experimental teaching philosophy, a single-chip experimental platform was developed, and its hardware structure consists of three levels:

1) Core experiment board

The core experiment board includes the CPU and corresponding peripheral circuits. MCS51 series, ARM series MCU and TMS320LF240X series DSP can be selected according to need. The core experiment board can also do some basic experiments independently, such as familiarity of instructions, trial of development systems, and implementation of basic I/O.

The core experiment board itself is a set of experimental devices. It only needs to be connected to a personal computer USB to perform a certain number of experiments. It does not require other supporting equipment such as power supply. Students can borrow experiments in the dormitory or other laboratories.

2) Universal experiment board

The universal experiment board is the body of the experiment box and is used to expand the functions of the core experiment board. Insert different CPU core experiment boards on the experiment box, and you can do the expansion experiment of the corresponding models.

The general-purpose experiment board includes the necessary experimental contents for common course experiments, including buttons, switches, LEDs, digital tubes, liquid crystal displays, A/D, D/A circuits, and so on.

The core experiment board and the general experiment board mainly include the basic course teaching experiment content, and strive to be comprehensive and diverse, including certain design content, which can be selected by students. For example, LED digital tube display experiment, you can set dynamic, static and serial, parallel and other methods for students to choose.

The universal experiment board includes a rich expansion interface to interface with specialized subjects.

3) Special experimental subjects

In addition to the experimental box, a certain number of various measurement and control objects are provided for students to use in design and comprehensive experiments.

The dedicated experimental object includes a certain number of electrical measurement control objects to enhance students' understanding of the actual project.

3. Effect and benefit

The experimental platform has been researched and developed since 2009. After repeated improvement, 70 sets of equipment MCU laboratories have been mass-produced in 2011. It has been used in the course of "Single-chip Microcomputer Principles and Applications" for 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 students. The relevant curriculum design, and used for the graduation design of a small number of undergraduate and graduate students, has been widely praised by experimental teachers and students.

He has published academic papers introducing relevant teaching concepts and teaching experiences at the annual conference of China Electric Power Education and the Institute of Electrical Theory.

In 2012, Huazhong University of Science and Technology Press published the textbook "DSP Principles and Applications", "Single-chip Principles and Applications" to support the relevant application parts of the experimental platform.

The project passed the acceptance of the experimental technology project of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2010. In 2012, the project passed the expert appraisal organized by Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The basic conclusion of the appraisal is: the project has the characteristics of compatibility and openness, and has achieved good results in the experimental teaching practice; the experimental teaching platform is in the microcontroller and The combination of experimental teaching and application in electrical engineering has reached the domestic leading level.

In 2012, the project was awarded the first prize of “Experimental Technology Research Achievements” of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
